ITS Serbia workshop – New Technologies for Smart and Sustainable Mobility

On May 30th 2025, ITS Serbia organized professional workshop as a part of the regional initiative 3xSouthRoute, thematically aligned with the recent ITS Congresses in Seville, held under the motto: “Clean, Resilient and Connected Mobility”.

Envisaged as a follow-up of ITS Congresses in Seville, it turned out into a full day of interesting activities. Lively discussions, engaged participants, and diverse professional backgrounds made this workshop a platform for meaningful knowledge exchange and future collaboration. The event brought together more than 80 participants from public institutions, private companies, academia, and international organizations — reflecting the growing interest in innovative mobility and transport solutions in the region.

Sincere thanks to esteemed speakers Dr. Johanna (Yanna) Tzanidaki, Zeljko Jeftic, Vladimir Vorotovic FCILT, Nedim Begovic and Aleksandar Stevanovic, and chair Miroslav Petrovic for their inspiring presentations and valuable insights into European and global trends in ITS, autonomous transport, urban mobility, and sustainable transition financing. Interestingly, all distinguished speakers were originally from the region.

We are also very grateful to the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering – University of Belgrade, who is hosting this event for the 2nd time in a row, particularly to Dean Milorad Kilibarda and Vice-dean Vladimir Momcilovic who found time to participate actively.

Thanks a lot to everyone who contributed to making this event impactful, especially to Dušan Mladenović and Mladen Nedeljkov from ITS Serbia and ElcomBGD, whose support was invaluable in the successful organization of this event.

Let’s keep building the future of mobility together.
Stay tuned for the activities to come!
